Mayling has practiced holistic
nursing since 1993, and became board certified
in holistic nursing in 1998, although her involvement in the healthcare field
began in the 1980’s, working with hospice patients. Specializing in holistic
nursing, Mayling has brought this specialty to her many varied nursing roles
in traditional healthcare, from case management to Director of Nursing and
Management. Inspired to share her growing experience and knowledge through
writing, Mayling’s work covers a broad spectrum of expressive forms,
from articles, books (non-fiction and fiction, and children’s books)
to screenplays, all of which are founded on the Mind-Body-Life connection studied
within the holistic healthcare paradigm of healing and wholeness. Mayling’s
guest spots on “Beyond The Ordinary Net Radio” have been heard
around the world, and she has taught and lectured in holistic
nursing and healthcare
for over 10 years to University and College nurses, healthcare organizations,
and community businesses and lay audiences. She currently provides her services
as a consultant, public speaker, educator and lecturer, as well as a Program
Developer for holistic services to healthcare organizations, facilities, and
related companies. Mayling also writes and produces multimedia educational
material, including guided imagery scripts and CD’s. She is currently
the executive producer for a future documentary on holistic
nursing and healing.
